I always find it strange when people say or write that bob dylan "cannot sing." Singing is a form of art. I love the way he sings, and so do millions of others. If people love they way he sings, how can it be that he "cannot sing"? Are all of those people wrong? Or do they simply find beauty where others do not? I used to like Bob Dylan for the originality of his work, but i have come to realize that his lyrics lack eloquence, meaning, or impact. He captures the aura of an era of one dimensionality, and thus his music is rendered as such. I agree with most of what you just said. Im a musician myself, and a great fan of both of them. but about Hendrix and his tchniques, of course that he was sloppy. Not many fans will agree, but he was. but it was part of the beauty of it. he could give you a phrase and do the harmony at the same time, it all sounded incredible!

What are you talking about? Dylan was an amazing guitarist. Listen to Don't Think Twice It's Alright and Girl From the North Country and then tell me that's not good guitar playing. Dylan fingerpicked, played harmonica, and sang all at the same time. It's hard to play harmonica and fingerpick at the same time because your mind is doing two different things. Playing lead guitar with a lot of distortion is easy because it blocks out all the mistakes and runs parallel with your voice.

Best version of the song definitely. The studio version is way to fast. With this timing Dylan can get the real emotion out of it. Whenever I play this song I play it with this timing, way way better.
