i realy like this gun alot because all u have to do to shoot it agen is put in new bullets u dont have to reset the rubberbands like most of u guys have to do on your guns u just have to put in a magazine pull the rod and fire :D

One problem with this, hes shooting legos, if you wanted somthing that would shoot acurate, or somthing alittle more substantial than flying legos, the bow string would have to be alot more powerfull, and the bow alot more reinforced. Making this thing hard as hell to chamber a round.

The mech is not thin. I made the gun and it's 10 studs wide at the back, and 5 studs wide at the front. The mech is easy but I never would have thought to put it on the sides like he did. Koen put his on the top and bottom. But the concept of it is the same.

a person in jail made one and shot a guard and escaped before he used his fork as ammo and made paper crossbow from newspaper and homemade glue using his food i think and made a crossbow and he escaped he found it hard because you get one try and if you miss your in huge trouble i got this info from a show called "mythbusters" i enjoy quite alot only probelm is its keeps geting swaped with another good show "top gear"

Yes, I know what you are saying, but thats not what or why I do it...partly because I can...as the broadheads I use are made by Muzzy and they are super sharp and stay sharp for many many hits into my block. And I mostly do it with the actual arrow and broadhead so as I say if I've shot it a half a dozen times, I'll know roughly a bit more about how that particular arrow flies...so like with the arrow I shot my last deer with I knew it would go about an 1.5" high and 2" right @ 40ydapproximately

Well thanks Mark, thats great man. The broadhead was a 100 grain Montech G5...we are crazy like that. I started it all...I told everyone that I don't use practice tips...I shoot my broadheads for everything...after all that is what I'm going to do the hunt with so don't you agree that it would be great to have tested the actual arrow/bolt with the broadhead so that you know how it will fly and can there fore accomplish the shot with more confidence in your equipment...now we shoot em for all!

They do run away and they fly away most of the time...some grouse like the Spruce Grouse are not the brightest bulb and they can seem to just stand there some of the time. Hope you are not taking offense to this. I eat plants and fruit too and they usually don't try to run away either...though like the game I hunt...they all will spoil with age if not harvested early enough. Thanks eh.

Thanks eh! I pretty much do too...I only have taken one spruce in the last few years...I like the willows much better. My Uncle got a Spruce Grouse this year that tasted better than the Willow (Ruffed) Grouse he took just down the road on the same hunt. So, you never know eh! Spruce can be tender and good...but usually the Ruffed are way better eating. Good hunting to yah.

Actually the bodkin was not designed to penetrate plate armour. It was designed to go through chain mail. If you would do some research on the bodkin, you'll realize that they were invented much earlier than plate armour came into even moderate use. If anything, the archers would attempt to kill the horses (it's a much bigger target as well making it easier to hit), but the horses were left largely unprotected, or if they did have barding, it was chain mail which could be punctured.

Growing up in S Africa ive always been a gun man but would love to start hunting with a cross-bow. I like the excalibur but I think ill stick with a 600 nitro in a charged hunt. My dads friend made a CB from a trucks leaf-spring, needed a winch to pull it back. It shot short solid metal arrows. Very powerfull but very unpractical. Does any1 here hunt big game with a cross-bow?
